What can free options do?
| Option | What you get | What you don't get |
|---|---|---|
| Video editor templates (CapCut style) | The viral cuts and often the music, free | Your face in the performance. Photos sit on top of the original clip |
| Free credits on general AI video apps | Sometimes enough for one short shot | All three shots at a watchable quality, and you still cut and stitch them yourself |
| Doing it yourself with an AI video model | Full control | Free. Each render costs money, and stitching the shots takes about an hour |
If you want the band to be you and your friends, with your faces singing in every shot, you need an AI video model, and those cost money per render.

Where is ZapVid different?
- Credits are not tied to one trend. Most Tiny Desk tools sell credits for this one video. On ZapVid leftover credits work on 10 other templates, like Hotel Lobby, No Scrubs and Crazy Frog, and on new trends as we add them.
- Credits never expire. There's no 365-day limit and no monthly reset.
- No subscription. Every pack is a one-time payment.
- No account needed to start. Upload a photo and press Generate. Checkout asks for your email.
- Same price for 1 to 5 people. Adding friends doesn't cost extra.
- Failed videos refund themselves. The credits come back to your account automatically.
Where is ZapVid not the best pick?
- Price for a single video. tinydeskai.fit is cheaper at $4.99 if you only ever want one.
- Sound. Our file has no song. You add the official "Outstanding" sound in TikTok or Instagram, which also puts your post on the trend's sound page. Some tools put the song in the file.
- Famous faces. We block photos of coaches, athletes and other public figures. If you want a celebrity version, this is not the tool for it.
How do I pay the least for a Tiny Desk video?
- Start with one 100-credit pack and make one video to check the result.
- Use sharp, front-facing photos so your first try comes out right.
- Buy the 300-credit pack ($19.99) if you'll make more, for about $6.66 per video. The 1,000-credit pack brings it to $5.
- Spend leftover credits on the next trend instead of letting them sit.

FAQ
Is there a free Tiny Desk AI generator? Not one that makes the full video with your face in it. Each video runs on a paid AI video model, so the tools we checked charge $4.99 to $9.99 for the first one.
How much does a Tiny Desk AI video cost on ZapVid? 100 credits, whether you add zero or four friends. A 100-credit pack costs $9.99, 300 credits cost $19.99 and 1,000 credits cost $49.99.
Can I make the Tiny Desk video free with CapCut? A free editor template gives you the cuts and the music, but it can't put your face into the singing performance. For that you need an AI video model.
Why is there no free trial? Every render costs us money on the AI model. Instead of a watermarked trial, a failed video gives its credits back automatically.
Do I need to sign up to try it? No. You can upload a photo and press Generate without making an account. You enter an email at checkout so you can get your videos back on another device.
Which Tiny Desk AI generator is the best? It depends on what you want. For one cheap video, tinydeskai.fit is the lowest price we found. For a full band of friends with credits you can reuse on other trends, ZapVid charges the same for 1 to 5 people and the credits never expire.
